About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning all floors, property wide including the hotels, expo, and convention locations.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of all carpet care, floor maintenance and heavy-duty techniques and equipment
• Knowledge of lifting techniques and related equipment
• High School Diploma or 1 year of experience in floor care
• Good verbal communication skills
• Proper use of chemicals and the ability to determine which chemical and equipment is appropriate for each task
• Understands and practices safe cleaning procedures with emphasis on eliminating cross contamination and safety
• Knowledge of procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Completes EVS Training Module which includes proper use of chemicals and safety procedures
• Knowledge of proper infection control and blood borne pathogens procedures and precautions
• Must be able to work in a casino environment with possible exposure to secondhand smoke, loud noises and low lighting
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, bend and walk large areas of the casino property for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Deep cleans various types of carpets and floors, including stone, marble, granite, tile, VCT and wood using appropriate chemicals and equipment
• Responsible for the storage and handling of department supplies
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment after use
• Removes, transports and arranges office furniture, as needed
