About The Position

Fairchild Freight is a trusted, well-established multi-modal logistics company with a long standing commitment to operational excellence. We are seeking a Dedicated Driver Manager/Dispatcher for our dedicated WalMart business. This role is essential to ensuring safe, consistent, and on-time transportation through effective driver management, route planning, and close coordination with customers and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in dispatching, driver management, fleet operations, or transportation logistics preferred.
  • Strong route planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with GPS/navigation systems and working knowledge of OR, ID, MT, and WA geography.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexible availability to support essential operational hours, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers to ensure on-time, efficient deliveries that meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and complete documentation.
  • Plan, optimize, and adjust routes to maximize efficiency while responding to real-time operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records within internal databases and systems, including load and driver documentation.
  • Communicate proactively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and industry safety standards.
  • Manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through effective problem-solving and follow-through.
