About The Position

The Dedicated Advanced Service Technician is responsible for the continued maintenance and repair of the RaceTrac Travel Center and/or EDO stores they are designated. This individual assesses, develops protocol, and is responsible for the maintenance and appearance to ensure the operability of their store at all times. What You'll Do: Resolves maintenance and services issues at the RaceTrac Travel Center to ensure full operability 24/7, ultimately increases the profitability of the company. Treatment of stained areas with chemical degreaser and completely pressure washes sections of the store each day. Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, and all other work areas. Maintain all trash on site during their shift. Ensures each job is performed at a high level of skill and with optimal customer service. Serves as a knowledge expert in general maintenance functions including, but not limited to: HVACR, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, foodservice/beverage amenities, and petroleum dispensing systems. Accurately maintain equipment, tools, and inventory on site. Provides project support to cross-functional departments in various initiatives related to stores. Responds to additional ad hoc maintenance requests communicated from store personnel as needed. Maintains knowledge of local and state guidelines for facility services as necessary. Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Works with other ASTs to cross train in multiple trades. Has the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to repeatedly bend, stand and reach while on the job. At RaceTrac, our people make the difference. Requirements

  • General maintenance knowledge and repair procedures required.
  • Ability to use common tools and office equipment required.
  • Basic Microsoft office knowledge
  • 4+ years work experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Food and Beverage equipment repair knowledge preferred
  • Fuel dispenser and pump repair knowledge preferred
  • Technical School training in HVACR or electrical preferred
  • Experience in a retail maintenance environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Clean, Safe, Fast & Full Cleans in and outside of store including but not limited to sweeping the parking lot, mopping floors, emptying trash, cleaning rest rooms, filling water and towels at the pump, replacing pay-at-the-pump receipt paper, etc).
  • Stocks shelves and coolers
  • Maintains food and beverage areas with freshly prepared ready-to-eat food and beverages.
  • Adheres to all RaceTrac, federal, state and local food safety regulations.
  • Updates prices and posts new signage to reflect monthly promotions and sales opportunities.
  • Possesses the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job.
  • Keeps gasoline price sign up-to-date outside of store in accordance with the method of that location.
  • Greets and interacts with new and regular guests in a genuine manner and suggests products that complement purchase to enhance the guest experience.
  • Rings up guests on cash register and balances cash and inventory transactions.
  • Provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service.
  • Resolves and when necessary escalates guest complaints.
  • Focuses on collaboration and teamwork as a part of the store team; works well with the general public.
