Job Scope: The Decommissioning and Demolition Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing comprehensive plans for the safe and efficient decommissioning and demolition of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. This role ensures compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while minimizing operational disruptions and optimizing resource utilization on site in Freeport, TX.

Requirements

  • Requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in planning and executing respective decommissioning and isolation work activities
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Construction Science, Building Science or advanced coursework is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, safety, and environmental teams to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations to identify hazards and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage contractors and vendors involved in demolition activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of D&D activities.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Support regulatory inspections and audits related to D&D operations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout all phases of D&D projects.
