Decommission Technician

About the position

Emerald Transformer is seeking a Decommission Technician to join our team. With over fifty years of experience in the transformer services industry, we provide a wide range of transformer services including remanufactured transformer stock, repairs, decommission, field technical services, parts, PCB disposal and recycling. Our national network of factories and service centers are strategically located to serve our broad and diverse customer base. We are committed to extending the life cycle of our customers' equipment and protecting their capital investment.

Responsibilities

• Perform decommissioning of electrical equipment in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Handle hazardous materials properly and ensure compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of transformers and related equipment.
• Provide field technical services as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical equipment handling or related field preferred.
• Ability to work part-time hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in transformer services or decommissioning.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to hazardous materials.
