About The Position

Shrimp Hunter 4, Inc. is seeking to fill 5 temporary, full-time seasonal Deckhand/headers positions for shrimping activities. The role involves preparing trawlers, handling nets, sorting shrimp, and assisting the captain and rigger. The position is based in Palacios, TX, and requires physical labor, including lifting and moving materials. The job runs from March 1, 2025, to December 15, 2025, with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and may include weekend or holiday work.

Requirements

• Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
• No minimum education requirement; on-the-job training available.
• Must be available for the entire employment period and willing to work throughout all areas of intended employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trawler for shrimping activities.
• Put nets into water and retrieve them.
• Sort and head shrimp.
• Place shrimp in baskets, rinse, and dip in preservative.
• Assist captain and rigger with related Deckhand/headers activities.
