About The Position
The Exterior Trim Specialist at Clayton Homes plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and aesthetic appeal of manufactured homes. This position involves finishing the exterior of homes post-installation and addressing any warranty-related issues that may arise. The specialist is expected to maintain a high standard of customer service, effectively communicating with both retailers and homeowners to address their inquiries and concerns. This role requires a blend of technical carpentry skills and strong interpersonal abilities to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold the company's reputation for quality workmanship. In this position, the Exterior Trim Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall completion of the home’s exterior. This includes installing vinyl siding and overhang materials, framing and installing OSB on gable ends, building gables and dormers, and installing exterior lights and gutters. Additionally, the specialist will be tasked with building decks, removing and installing exterior doors and windows, and ensuring that workstations and equipment are cleaned and serviced at the end of each shift. The role demands physical endurance and the ability to perform tasks both underneath and on top of the home, requiring precise cutting and measuring skills. The ideal candidate will be punctual, dependable, and possess strong carpentry skills. They must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. A friendly and cooperative attitude is essential, as is a commitment to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction. The position also requires the ability to safely climb ladders and perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and maintaining a high level of activity throughout the workday.
