About The Position

British Swim School of Buffalo is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team at our new Amherst location! Deck Ambassadors at British Swim School manage site operations while maintaining a focus on customer service. They are often the first friendly faces that families see when they arrive at the pool. Responsibilities range anywhere from making sure things are running smoothly on the pool deck, welcoming parents and students, answering lots of questions about our programs, to soothing an anxious swimmer before a lesson!

Requirements

• Have a high school diploma, equivalent certification, or be currently pursuing one.
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication and organizational capabilities.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Must be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children.
• One year of customer service experience is preferred.
• Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive first impression and facilitate proper orientation for new customers.
• Set up, maintain, and break down on-site equipment and other materials used for presentation and instruction.
• Manage class schedules, attendance, and lesson board.
• Assist instructors from the pool deck during lessons as needed.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness across all areas of the pool deck, always ensuring adherence to all pool safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when scheduled.
• Work in an environment where noise levels are typically moderate to high, ambient temperature is warm, and humidity is high.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or Franchise Business Owner.
