The Financial Analyst role at Pfizer is crucial for ensuring the efficient production of medicines by managing financial operations, conducting economic research, and analyzing profit and loss statements. This position involves developing operational specifications for financial information systems, providing business development analysis, and monitoring business performance. The analyst will collaborate with various teams to achieve project goals and contribute to the overall success of Pfizer's mission to deliver healthcare solutions globally.

  • Work directly with the sites on template completion for spend budgets and purchased materials.
  • Execute the recurring budgeting and forecasting activities, prepare journal entries, monthly management reports and operations support presentations.
  • Track and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for specific stakeholder groups.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of best practices for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Support system access review processes.
  • Participate in teams responsible for the integration or separation of domestic acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Lead implementation of Continuous Improvement opportunities across business units.
  • Assist the financial team in being compliant with all Sarbanes-Oxley controls and financial reporting policies.
  • Ensure requirements are gathered accurately and manage timelines for the scoping, development, and delivery of the final solution.
  • Review financial reports and analysis of others ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the completion of project milestones and organize own work to meet project task deadlines.
  • Support work transitions between all finance organizations in Pfizer.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial systems and financial reporting aspects
  • Proven analytical skills and can understand and interpret data
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to create and manage spreadsheets, tables and presentations
  • Proven experience in improving quality, performance or processes in previous assignments or projects
  • Strength in organizational skills
  • Experience in VBA, Python, or other coding languages
  • Experience in a Finance Center of Excellence
  • Experience in Auditing or compliance area
