Requirements

  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with large, complex datasets to drive measurable business value
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong BI experience and advanced SQL skills with hands-on application. Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or modern data transformation tools. Experience with Python or R for analysis or data preparation. Exposure to API data integration or working with semi-structured data (JSON, logs, etc.)
  • Data Warehousing: Working knowledge of Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Business Acumen: Ability to connect data insights to real business outcomes
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain data concepts clearly
  • Adaptability: Ability to move quickly in a startup environment and pivot with changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • AI & Emerging Tech Experience leveraging AI/ML tools, LLMs, or automation frameworks to enhance analytics workflows
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI-assisted reporting, or intelligent data exploration tools
  • Industry Experience Background in auto finance, consumer lending, credit, collections, delinquency, or loss mitigation
  • Understanding of loan lifecycle metrics (originations, charge-offs, recovery rates, etc.)
  • Knowledge of regulatory or compliance reporting in financial services

Responsibilities

  • Apply structured, analytical thinking to solve complex business problems
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within credit performance, servicing, operations, and customer behavior
  • Support performance monitoring, forecasting, and root-cause analysis
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality datasets, data models, and reporting layers that serve as the foundation for business-critical decisions
  • Partner with data engineering to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and scalability
  • Establish and document KPI definitions, business logic, and data standards
  • Work within Risk to help drive the strategic analytical roadmap
  • Evaluate additional incoming requests for business alignment, feasibility, and impact
  • Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and data solutions
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reporting that drive visibility into company performance
  • Ensure reporting is intuitive, actionable in driving decisions, and aligned with business priorities
  • Proactively learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and AI-driven approaches
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data workflows
  • Contribute to evolving analytics best practices in a rapidly changing technical landscape
