About The Position

Ibotta is seeking a Decision Scientist, Client Data & Measurement to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. In this role, you will be an individual contributor leading and mentoring others by example through designing best-in-class analytics solutions and creating actionable insights for clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of building actionable insights and analytic solutions with a trust-but-verify approach. You will be leveraging data to build out new and innovative analytical products and capabilities, proactively identifying and communicating data-driven insights, and presenting these findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical function
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics or related field required; Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience working with: Data analysis tools (e.g. Databricks, SQL, Python, Airflow, Git/GitHub etc.)
  • BI & other analytics tools (Looker preferred)
  • Creating data-driven analytic solutions and products from end-to-end.
  • Ability to handle context switching due to the pace of the business
  • Flexibility and business knowledge to jump into high valued, urgent requests
  • Advanced abilities in applied statistical methods, experimental design and hypothesis testing
  • Extensive experience collecting, delivering and analyzing large, multi‐dimensional data sets
  • Experience initiating, scoping and leading large-scale analytics projects end-to-end
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the proven ability to collaborate across functional areas

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize projects based on business impact and value; lead and manage large scale projects
  • Leverage data-driven insights to innovate products, solutions, and consumer behavior understanding, while continuously monitoring and adapting to changes in the business
  • Work closely with your Data/Decision Science and Analytics Engineering peers to provide an extensive list of requirements to bring new and unique curated datasets to production
  • Establish solid cross departmental relationships with Revenue, Client Analytics and peers to understand business problems and opportunities for improvements
  • Collaborate closely with the Client Analytics (CA) teams to translate innovative MVPs and concepts into scalable products and solutions that can be implemented
  • Leverage third-party data sources to extract actionable insights and drive scalable, data-informed strategies across the business
  • Become an expert of the Ibotta Data Ecosystem and how various teams leverage Ibotta's suite of data to answer domain specific business questions
