Position Summary: We are looking for a Decal Assembler who will report to the Assembly Supervisor. This position is tasked with supporting the production of aluminum fishing installing the interior components of the boat, which include wiring harnesses, plumbing components and accessories. The starting hourly pay rate for this position is $21.61.

Requirements

1 year of manufacturing experience which includes daily use of basic hand-held power tools.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Ability to stand, kneel, crawl and work for several hours in various positions either on a concrete floor or within a boat.
Ability to manually move product and materials through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending.
Must work at a reasonable pace within our quality and production standards to completion of tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize job’s and communicate necessary information to peers and supervisors.
Experience reading operating manuals, written programs, and written instructions.
Ability to follow instructions and effectively execute procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work instructions.
Align and fit structural assemblies manually to position assemblies.
Install hoses, wiring harnesses, hydraulic systems, steering cables and electronic components.
Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
Perform visual inspections of finished products.
Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
Perform visual inspection and test finished products and recommend any necessary corrections.
Identify and troubleshoot equipment and/or quality problems and recommend solutions.
Detect and escalate faulty operation of equipment, defective materials and production misses.
Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment as assigned.
Clean work area and maintain walkways free of litter and clutter, clean machines, sweep aluminum chips and other debris, keep personal effects stored appropriately.
Participate in daily morning meetings including stretching activities, assist with incident investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality improvements.
Follow all internal processes and procedures including incident reporting, rework escalation, and stop-call-wait.
Assist in training other employees on equipment and department procedures, engage in effective conversations with team members and leaders, escalate and discuss issues or potential issues to leads and supervisors.
Aid in other areas as needed.
