This is a pipeline requisition for the upcoming New Graduate RN Residency opportunity at the new Wellstar location in Columbia County. Interested candidates would be starting late 2026. All Interested candidates should ensure their resume includes their graduation month and year for consideration. Anticipated Interview Timeline: Late September to Mid-October 2025. This requisition is intended to collect interest in advance of formal interviews for candidates looking to start their first RN role in 2026.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of RN experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English language.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Epic and 3M experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous internship or clinical experience in nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete the 12-month Nurse Residency Program (NRP).
  • Participate in programs designed by specialty/service line and NRP sessions to support development.
  • Provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with current Wellstar Standards of Care.
  • Perform the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) in clinical care.
  • Provide patient and family centered care consistent with population specific characteristics.
  • Coordinate care through effective partnerships recognizing that caring is central to achieve optimal patient care outcomes.
  • Document safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required education.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing.
  • Participate in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
