About The Position

Under the supervision of the department manager, ensures high‑quality finished parts by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from metal components. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Perform deburring, sanding and grinding on metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment. Inspect parts for burrs, rough edges, and defects Verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate machine problems, quality issues and other concerns or questions to departmental management
• Basic math skills
• Must be quality conscious
• Ability to use and interpret precision measurement equipment
• Ability to interpret aircraft blueprints and engineering
• Ability to interpret specs
• Ability to interpret mylars
• Ability to use various/basic hand tools
• Moderate organizational skills
• Moderate time management skills
• Ability to multi-task

• Maintain a professional work atmosphere by being courteous, respectful and non-interfering with customers, co-workers, and management.
