Summary/Objective: The Deburring Technician is responsible for ensuring that all machined parts are burr-free and meet quality standards by operating various hand/air tools and buffers. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining safety and quality standards, proper documentation, and the upkeep of equipment and accessories to support the achievement of Masterbilt’s business goals and objectives.

  • Accurately read and interpret part blueprints and documentation to meet part quality criteria.
  • Maintain safe operations by strictly adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Document actions meticulously by completing production and quality logs.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Skilled in operating sandblasters, roto tools, and parts cleaners using correct procedures.
  • Capable of chamfering and re-drilling parts efficiently.
  • Expert in visually identifying burrs and swells on intricate parts.
  • Proficient in performing knifing and buffing on detailed components.
  • Understand and accurately complete all job-related paperwork.
  • Knowledgeable in all deburring methods to deburr intricate parts independently.
  • Ability to repair parts as needed to ensure quality.
  • Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and simple gaging tools.
  • Basic blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate part processing.
