About the position
The Debug Technician at Jabil is responsible for the verification testing, diagnosing, and repairing of electronic circuit board assemblies. This role requires proficiency in using electronic test and measurement equipment and involves working closely with the Test Engineering department to improve diagnostic efficiency. The technician will adhere to safety regulations and company policies while contributing to the team's process yield goals.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair basic powered functional test failures on electronic circuit board assemblies.
- Exhibit proficiency in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Understand and utilize assembly documentation such as schematics, BOMs, and testing tools.
- Assist the Test Engineering department in ongoing data evaluation programs.
- Understand and execute Jabil production requirements and policies.
- Work as a team member to achieve Diagnostic department's process yield goals.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
- Comply with company security policies.
Requirements
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to operate a personal computer with a Windows-based operating system.
- Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and read visual aids.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
