About The Position

The position involves performing various roles within the Debone production line at Simmons Foods, ensuring fluency in all tasks while rotating through different positions. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and adherence to established operating systems, with a focus on maintaining quality and efficiency in a cold working environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a cold environment down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Physical capability to stand/move about for 8-10 hours a day and perform duties including reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions.

  • Experience in poultry or food processing organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all positions on the Debone line, including cutting breasts, wings, pulling skin, using a saw, loading product, and tray packing.
  • Participate as a member of the team, fostering strong cohesiveness regarding major issues such as direction, annual plans, and policy changes.
  • Identify areas lacking cohesiveness and bring them to the attention of the team leader, working collaboratively to resolve issues.
  • Attend appropriate team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of team concepts and policies.
  • Maintain familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems, including quality, security, and LEAN principles, and communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
