The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is seeking an innovative and forward-thinking leader to serve as the Dean of the UAF Community and Technical College. This crucial role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Alaska's workforce and empower Alaska's communities through education. With its community college mission, CTC serves the needs of a diverse student population, including first-generation college attendees, both traditional and non-traditional students, military students and those seeking job training. Reporting to the UAF Vice Chancellor of Rural, Community and Native Education, the dean serves as the chief academic officer for CTC providing strategic and operational leadership to the unit while working closely with the College of Rural and Community Development dean and rural campus directors. CTC offers 50 plus associate degree, certificate and certified training programs located at 5 different instructional facilities that are responsive to local and regional vocational/technical training needs, focusing on areas that are crucial to the workforce needs of the state. In addition, CTC operates a State of Alaska licensed child care center. As the Dean, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge programs that align with the evolving needs of Alaska's dynamic job market. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering strong partnerships with industry, community organizations, and stakeholders, ensuring a seamless pathway for students to acquire the skills and knowledge essential for successful careers. In this role, you will champion initiatives that promote an environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
