The Dean of the Library provides visionary and strategic leadership to advance the Library's mission as a hub for intellectual inquiry, learning, and research. This role involves overseeing the development and management of both physical and digital collections, as well as the Testing Center and the Ozarks Studies Institute. The Dean is responsible for enhancing student learning and success, supporting faculty and staff excellence, and fostering an accessible and innovative environment. The position reports to the Provost and collaborates with various stakeholders to fulfill the university's strategic goals.

  • A terminal degree in library and information science or related field.
  • At least five years of management experience in an academic library.
  • Demonstrated achievement in research, scholarship, and service in library and information science.
  • Experience with budget management, strategic planning, and fundraising.
  • Knowledge of current issues, emerging trends, and technologies in academic libraries.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive excellence and cultural competence.
