About The Position

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in student affairs administration, higher education administration, or organizational development.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive college leadership experience in student services and higher education administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and promoting inclusivity.
  • Demonstrated success in data analysis and metric-informed strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws affecting students, including Title IX and ADA.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual fluent in English/Spanish.
  • Management experience in a union environment.
  • Knowledge of trends and best practices related to retention and student success.
  • Community college experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides vision and strategic leadership for all operational areas within Student Conduct, Food Pantry, and Counseling & Wellness.
  • Conducts Threat Assessments of students at risk of harm to themselves or others.
  • Oversees the investigation of discrimination complaints involving faculty, students, and staff.
  • Maintains awareness of college student needs and trends based on research and best practices.
  • Serves as the chief student conduct officer and Title IX Coordinator.
  • Develops and implements methods to educate students on community standards.
  • Provides leadership in crisis management and intervention.
  • Identifies outreach and services for vulnerable student populations.
  • Assures processes are in place to address student concerns and grievances.
  • Systematically reviews and updates policies related to student conduct and complaints.
  • Evaluates and develops standard operating procedures for student support.
  • Investigates allegations of student policy violations and ensures due process.
  • Develops and maintains a student conduct board.
  • Engages in addressing critical incident responses and ensures best-practice standards are met.
  • Serves as liaison for off-campus student housing and provides services to these students.
  • Chairs the College CARE team and threat assessment committees.
  • Oversees shuttle bus services and scheduling.
  • Advises the Vice President for Student Affairs on student-related matters.
