About The Position

Who We Are Looking For: Are you the Dean of Operations we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth and families! Granite Academy is a dynamic, strength-based day school serving middle and high school students whose social-emotional needs impact their learning experience. Our staff provide flexible, individualized programming and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our students, their families, and the public school systems. We have an 11- month school year (202 days) and are located on a beautiful campus in Braintree, MA. Our team works with students individually and in small groups to support their full engagement in academic, vocational, social, and recreational activities that promote skill development, emotional well-being, and movement towards graduation. Compensation The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $96,000 per year . The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. What You'll Do: Work with the Head of School to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the school and ensure a cohesive and unified school community. Substitute teaching as needed. Working collaboratively with the Education Director to provide classroom observations and staff support. Supervising non-licensed teaching staff (academic support staff). Scheduling responsibilities. Facilitate daily scheduling and assigning staffing positions across campus to ensure appropriate coverage. You will supervise milieu staff, observe and support staff in classrooms, and provide backup as needed. Lead daily team meetings to review details of the day and set staff up for success. Work with the Campus director to oversee the implementation of our school wide positive behavior support system. Provide consultation and support throughout the course of the day regarding behavioral support needs for both staff and students and reinforce staff and support students in making progress towards goals. Utilize data to drive initiatives and provide trainings for staff and students focused on data and behavior support topics. Serve on the administrative team to establish and maintain program policies and procedures. Work collaboratively to enhance and effectively utilize our in-house Student Information System. Why JRI? Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a related field, such as education and counseling required.
  • Candidates must have classroom management experience in a special education environment.
  • Candidates must have at least three years of experience at a management level, collaborating and coaching effectively with supervisees to improve overall functioning of the milieu.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Significant experience working with students who require therapeutic interventions and support.
  • Candidates should be highly organized, flexible, collaborative, and team oriented.
  • Capable of working collaboratively as a team member and independently.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
