About The Position

The Dean of Nursing at Seattle University is a newly established leadership role aimed at operationalizing the academic nursing programs within the proposed College of Health Sciences. This position requires a visionary leader who will foster collaboration and cultivate opportunities that benefit students, faculty, alumni, and community partners. The Dean will be responsible for providing a creative and entrepreneurial vision for nursing education, ensuring that the programs are mission-driven and patient-oriented, while also being attuned to the evolving healthcare landscape.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse with qualifications for licensure in Washington.
• Demonstrated record of progressive leadership in nursing administration, education, and practice.
• Experience at the Department/Division Chair, Director, Associate Dean, Dean, or equivalent leadership level.
• Advanced academic degree (PhD, DNP) and scholarly qualifications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Chief Nursing Officer or Executive Director in community care settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
