1. Maintain program accreditation with various accrediting bodies, such as the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Committee on Accreditation of Education Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). 2. Coordinate and support the development of instructional semester schedules for allied health programs and assign individual instructors to implement the schedule. This includes assignments at off-campus clinical sites as well as on-campus instruction. Responsible for the hiring, supervision, training, observing, and reviewing of all staff in the area. 3. Conduct regular visits to all LDCC campus locations offering nursing and allied health programs. 4. Provides leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining curriculum and programs that respond to community needs, prepare students for success, and which meet the external requirements of licensing. 5. Support evaluation of all full- and part-time faculty assigned to healthcare programs. 6. Teach program courses, if needed, within areas of qualified instruction. 7. Assist in the implementation of the College's Strategic Plan in accordance with their provisions. Confers with and assists the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and develops, prepares, and presents recommendations and reports as requested. Builds and manages the division budget consistent with LDCC policy and procedures. 8. Provide general supervision and work closely with the coordinators and directors of all healthcare programs to provide high quality allied health personnel and continuing education experiences for the community served by the College. 9. Assists faculty in the acquisition of educational materials for all allied health programs. Increases and develops articulation agreements with four-year institutions with special emphasis on Allied Health related fields. 10. Complete and submit to the supervisor and all external agencies all forms and reports for his/her area of responsibility. 11. Responsible for leadership, guidance, and overall effectiveness in all appropriate accreditation, institutional effectiveness, and professional development endeavors. Serves on Standing and Ad Hoc Committees as needed. 12. Support, coordinate, and attend all Nursing and Allied Health program advisory meetings and represent the college on local teams such as the Northeast Louisiana Healthcare Alliance. 13. Coordinate and supervise the updating of all web pages, and brochures for programs in health professions. 14. Serve on college committees and councils as assigned. 15. Assume responsibility for program evaluation, cooperate with follow-up studies and assist in placement of graduates of the area. 16. Maintain positive relationships and clinical training site agreements with area hospitals and health care agencies where students fulfill their clinical experiences and seek employment upon graduation. 17. Develop annual goals for allied health faculty members and programs. 18. Develop and implement relevant strategies to enhance workforce development initiatives in Louisiana Region 8. Support integration of industry-based credentials into programs to meet local and regional labor market needs. 19. Assume all other reasonable professional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
