About The Position

Requirements

• Earned Ph.D. or equivalent research terminal degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Rank of professor in an appropriate discipline strongly preferred.
• Active membership in a South Carolina Baptist church that complies with NGU's community standards.
• Commitment to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and other specified ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the College of Christian Studies.
• Lead curricular development and revision for all programs in the college.
• Monitor curricula to ensure quality and compliance with educational standards.
• Coordinate with other academic units to create efficient partnerships and opportunities for students.
• Oversee the hiring, retention, and evaluation of faculty members.
• Develop leadership within the college and supervise unit administrators.
• Engage with local and regional communities to promote the college's programs.
• Cultivate relationships with local church leaders and ministry organizations.
• Represent the university at various church and community events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Provost.
