About The Position

The Office Manager is responsible for the accurate representation of the financial condition of the dealership, develops controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate records, and establishes and maintains the data processing capabilities to accomplish the dealership's objectives.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in a dealership office position.
  • Automotive industry accounting experience
  • Proficient in CDK
  • Accounting degree or commensurate experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Working knowledge of dealership financial statements.
  • Ability to explain technical financial information in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license

Responsibilities

  • Assist controller with preparation and timely submission of complete monthly financial statements and end-of-month accounting reports.
  • Interpret, analyze, and monitor financial statements continually; keep the Controller informed about business trends and cash needs.
  • Supervise office staff, including receptionist and cashier, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Review journal entries and approve adjustments to inventory, cost of sales, and expense accounts.
  • Coordinate and prepare month-end reconciliations for all accounts and physical inventories.
  • Maintain monthly standard entries, fixed asset accounts, and accruals for expenses such as advertising, insurance, and professional fees.
  • Prepare and process workmen's compensation and other insurance claims.
  • Run and review monthly expense trend reports and calculate depreciation expense.
  • Assist in preparation for annual internal and external audits; provide requested information and follow up on corrections.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.
