About The Position

The Dealer Trainee will be instructed in two core games over the course of a 6 weeks period. Upon successful completion, the trainee will be eligible for a Part Time Table Games Dealer (Swing Shift) position with Ocean Casino Resort.

Requirements

Must be able to stand at workstation for prolonged periods of time, entire shift
Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise & stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as business needs require.
Ability to effectively communicate in English
Must qualify for, obtain and maintain a New Jersey gaming license
Must pass an audition upon the conclusion of the training period.
Possess strong guest service skills.
Must possess high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
Must successfully pass an audition, demonstrating level of proficiency.
Must be quick, analytical, and observant with good math skills.
Must possess exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Properly place, remove, shuffle, and cut playing cards for table games.
Operate all Table Games Department equipment.
Know rules and bet payouts for all table games.
Know all procedures, rules and guidelines pertaining to Table Games Department.
Learn protection and control of the game
Learn how to exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules in an accurate manner
