About The Position

The Dealer Technical Service Trainer at PACCAR is responsible for educating and supporting dealership service personnel across North America on Peterbilt products, including their features, benefits, maintenance, and repair. This role involves conducting training sessions at the Denton Training Center and various dealership locations, ensuring that service staff are well-equipped with the necessary technical knowledge to effectively support customers. The trainer will also assess training needs, provide feedback on service issues, and continuously improve training programs based on participant evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Education, Business, or Engineering preferred, or an Associates/Technical degree with extensive applicable work experience.
  • Experience in the maintenance and servicing of diesel trucks or machinery, with Peterbilt service experience preferred.
  • Minimum one year of training or instructional experience, preferably in a technical field.
  • Background in curriculum and training program development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MS Teams is a plus.
  • Experience with developing training using various media formats.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct Peterbilt dealership service personnel on product features, maintenance, and repair.
  • Identify training needs based on feedback from dealerships and internal personnel.
  • Interface with subject matter experts to gain technical knowledge for effective instruction.
  • Provide feedback on product and service issues to relevant personnel.
  • Continuously improve training programs based on evaluations from participants.
  • Manage and coordinate classroom training logistics including venue selection and materials preparation.
  • Coordinate with other divisions to ensure consistent training content and messaging.
