About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Deal Processor to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for accurately reviewing, processing, and posting vehicle sales deals to ensure all financial and legal documentation is complete and compliant. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and plays a critical role in keeping dealership operations running smoothly behind the scenes. 2-5 Years of experience required. The primary responsibility is processing and booking all new and used vehicles in Dealertrack on a timely basis. Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and able to retain information needed to complete all tasks pertaining to this position. Effective communication skills and commitment to customer satisfaction are essential to working effectively with our large customer base. Training regarding dealership management systems will be required during a designated period at the start of employment. This position offers excellent benefits. Pre-employment drug test, background check, and other screens may be required. A valid driver’s license is required. This position is Monday-Friday and Saturday if it falls on the last day of the month.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in automotive accounting, billing, or deal processing preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of debits/credits
  • Familiarity with dealership management systems (Dealertrack)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple deals and deadlines simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Break down car deals from F&I staff
  • Pay Warranty/Ethos bills
  • Prepares payoff checks or ACH payments for new vehicles and trade-ins
  • Review completed deal paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Process and post vehicle sales deals into the dealership management system (DMS)
  • Verify pricing, rebates, trade-in values, and financing details
  • Ensure all required documents (contracts, titles, lender paperwork) are included and properly signed
  • Track funding status and follow up on outstanding items
  • Coordinate with sales, finance, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized deal files in compliance with dealership and legal standards
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks
  • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area
  • Other tasks as assigned
