About The Position

For over 70 years Global Industrial has been an industry leader providing private label and brand name industrial equipment and supplies to businesses throughout North America. They carry over 1.7M industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through their website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. They are constantly increasing their product offerings to meet the diverse and changing needs of their customers. Their customers include small to large corporations, institutions and government agencies as well as consumers. The Deal Analyst position is responsible for analyzing and processing request for quotes from the sales force. The goal of this position is to streamline and optimize deal management, by providing information such as pricing, technical specs and shipping dimensions. This position requires demonstrated analytical capabilities, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management
• 2 years in Purchasing or Marketing
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to decipher complex or technical information for others
• Able to present fair and amicable resolutions
• Manage multiple priorities and activities concurrently.
• Excellent PC skills required in MS Word, Excel, Explorer and Outlook.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• 2 years' experience negotiating cost for large project or price increases highly preferred.
• Pivot table experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiating cost on large quotes ranging from 5k to 50k
• Average 5% savings across all bids annually
• Average Potential savings $150k annually
• Analysis of current market (Global and industry) to determine best technique for negotiation
• Developing and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Cross 400 lines of items from competitors
• Answer product inquiries and provide best solution for the customer's application
