Open Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual challenges who are referred by the Department of Developmental Services. Our mission is to provide homes that are safe, nurturing, and address the individual's personal needs and preferences. Every individual in an Open Sky residential program is encouraged to play an active role in community life, whether it be by volunteering, taking classes, participating in group outings, or joining a health club. Our dedicated staff ensures that individuals have the necessary supports and skills to build a successful and satisfying life in the community while enabling individuals to lead meaningful and active lives. The Behavior Technician is responsible for assisting the BCBA to implement Positive Behavior Support Plans and deliver interventions identified on the Treatment Plan. The RBT will also provide direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills as well as reduce challenging behaviors in the home and community settings. Other Key Responsibilities: Assist in the completion of all documentation according to prescribed timelines. Provide crisis management and intervention supports to programs. Provide clinical advocacy and guidance to staff. Coach staff to provide one on one direct supports to assist individuals to attain success in their daily living skills. Provide direct supports to assist individuals to learn regulation strategies, coping skills and daily living skills. Carry out any clinical assessments and collaborate effectively with program and clinical teams.
