About The Position

The Entry-Level Control Technician at CMS-Controls assists in the installation, wiring, and troubleshooting of building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control components . This role offers hands-on experience with a wide range of HVAC equipment, such as chilled water systems, VAVs, AHUs, rooftop units, fan coil units (FCUs), heat pumps, boilers, exhaust fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, and economizers .

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems , electrical wiring, and automation concepts
• Ability to read basic schematics and wiring diagrams
• Willingness to learn about Distech, Siemens , and other BAS components
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• High school diploma or technical training in HVAC, electrical, or automation fields

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of building control panels , sensors, actuators, and field devices
• Support wiring, terminations, and electrical work for HVAC and control systems
• Learn to troubleshoot basic issues with systems like chilled water, VAVs, AHUs, and pumps
• Read and interpret simple wiring diagrams and schematics
• Assist in system startup, testing, and system verification under guidance
• Follow CMS-Controls’ safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment
