In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments. The work model for the role is onsite. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries division in Westerville/Columbus, OH. You will be mainly accountable for: collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors; coaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations; leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects; applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.   • Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify engineering errors.
  • Coaching project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations.
  • Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects.
  • Applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
  • 2 or 4-year Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Computer Science).
  • Combination of education and work experience of 6 years.
  • Experience with Industrial Automation systems preferred ABB or competitive systems.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
