About The Position
The Doernbecher/Women's & Children's Improvement Manager partners with the leadership of DCH/W&C, and OHSU overall to drive the provision of high quality, safe care to all patients served throughout Women's & Children's Services. They provide leadership in the strategic deployment and implementation of the OHSU Performance Excellence System (OPEx) in service to OHSU and DCH/W&C's strategic plan. This role serves as a leader for quality, safety and improvement across DCH/W&C. They provide direct management supervision of the improvement team supporting quality, patient safety & improvement work at DCH/W&C. This includes implementation of daily management systems, training, strategy deployment, and performance improvement methods and tools across DCH/W&C. They possess and develop a deep understanding of advanced problem-solving methods. This role is crucial for fostering a culture of safety, coaching problem solving, engaging interprofessional team in improvement, and using data to drive change.
