About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must be knowledgeable of and enforce Title 31 policies. Must be knowledgeable of and enforce Internal Controls, and policies and procedures in accordance with Tribal, State, and Federal gaming regulations. Safeguards all cash assets while on duty. Monitors all cash transactions and activities. Monitors all check cashing transactions to ensure staff adheres to check cashing policy. Monitors jackpot payouts and issues Jackpot checks to eligible winners upon request. Trains Cage team members and assists with evaluating personnel. Fills in as Main Bank or Cage Cashier as needed. Regular attendance is an essential part of the position, must be very dependable. Willing to work extra hours to ensure the department functions smoothly. Completes paperwork legibly and correctly. Troubleshoots technical issues with Cage equipment (e.g. Recycler, ATMS, or Kiosk). Resolves customer and personnel disputes, and exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow employees. Ability to use sound judgment when needed. Performs duties as assigned by the Cage Manager, Controller, and/or General Manager. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The team member is regularly exposed to risk of radiation (from computers), as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system. Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke.  Extensive computer use.  Must handle hazardous materials.  Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs.  Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Ability to obtain a key gaming license.
  • Ability to maintain high confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all departments.
