DC Trainer

About the position

The position involves training and certifying TSMs (Team Service Members) in various skills specific to their area or in additional skills to work in other areas within the distribution center. This may include certification on machines. When not training, the individual will perform department functions. The role also requires re-testing all TSMs on procedural changes and re-training those with low productivity or accuracy. Participation in special projects and performing other duties as required is also expected. All positions are responsible for meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed, adhering to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding workplace behavior.

Responsibilities

• Train and certify TSMs in various skills specific to their area or in additional skills to work in other areas within the distribution center.
• Perform department functions when not training.
• Re-test all TSMs on procedural changes and re-train TSMs with low productivity or accuracy.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
• Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior.

Requirements

• One year general warehousing operations preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.
• Strong reading, math, computer, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, well-organized, and able to problem-solve.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, standing, and reaching.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $20.50 per hour for this position.
• Increase of $1.25 for internal promotions.
• No change in rate for lateral internal transfers.
