The DC Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily work schedules of warehouse employees involved in various tasks such as shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, and palletizing finished products. This role requires determining space requirements for storage and scheduling the delivery and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to meet distribution objectives and customer requirements. The supervisor must ensure that all store material is organized and clearly identified, and maintain equipment, including company vehicles, in compliance with city, state, and federal laws. A safe and clean environment must be enforced, including the proper handling and recording of hazardous materials. Additionally, the supervisor monitors employee attendance, productivity, and performance markers, providing counseling as needed. Coordination with the warehouse and operations manager, telephone sales, and other supervisors is essential to ensure shipments are sent in accordance with designated cut-off times and to address merchandise shortages. The supervisor also maintains various records and reports, such as lost sales, error reports, and production reports, and recommends changes in procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the unit.
