About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Officer in Washington DC. The role requires a keen sense of observation, the ability to read the environment, anticipate risks, and act accordingly. As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling various environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers. The ideal candidate will have open availability to work mornings, evenings, and overnights, including weekends and holidays. Candidates with supervisory or managerial experience in security or law enforcement are preferred. Requirements

• High school education or equivalent (GED).
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience in Security, Military, and/or Law Enforcement.
• Active DC guard card.
• At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass an extensive background and drug screening process.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service as a top priority.
• Observe and survey the area, providing reports on activity at the assigned location.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards as necessary.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
