ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: Conduct frequent patrols of the facilities and complete safety and security checks. Conduct foot patrols of the facilities where access is provided to identify safety and security concerns. Makes periodic tours about buildings and grounds, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are properly secured. Provide feedback to supervisor of any exceptions, incidents or pertinent information. Ensure that all Company security standards, policies and procedures are maintained. Report any suspicious activity to the proper authorities. Ensure security of doors, windows and gates. Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted areas. Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances. Complete a Shift Report per the Shift Report Writing Guidelines. Attend staff meetings/trainings as required. May serve as liaison with police on mutual problems. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not directly supervise associates. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: High School diploma or GED plus three (3) years of experience in warehouse distribution, security or equivalent combination of education and experience.
