This position acts as a team lead within the department, focusing on developing skills to transition into a supervisory role within 18-24 months. The individual will be expected to participate in the Emerging Leaders program and will have a working knowledge of all aspects of the department. The role requires effective communication with team members and leadership, ensuring that all essential duties are performed satisfactorily.

  • Perform any number of duties and functions within the Department.
  • Assist Managers with daily departmental duties.
  • Spend 80% of time on the floor managing workflow in production.
  • Meet with Department or DC Supervisors to review workload and allocate team members.
  • Review goals and objectives for the shift.
  • Keep the workflow moving through departments as specified by the Department or DC Supervisors.
  • Ensure assigned Team Members have all necessary tools to perform their jobs.
  • Coach Team Members to ensure adherence to processes.
  • Ensure assigned Team Members work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Be available in the work location to assist and resolve issues.
  • Conduct Gemba walks, equipment training verification, and gap time coaching.
  • Regularly communicate with Department and DC Supervisors on arising issues.
  • Conduct start-up meetings with team members to discuss previous results and today's expectations.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of new employees.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of the department.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Team Members and leadership.
  • Participation in the Emerging Leaders program.
