The qualified individual will perform the daily activities of the maintenance staff and be engaged in repairs and maintenance of all material handling equipment and facilities to meet operational and facility needs. This position may require shift flexibility. The successful candidate must be able to work any assigned shift. THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE. Key responsibility of providing electrical support for both facilities related items as well as operations level material handling systems and any other critical path electrical support. Serve as a leader in all maintenance troubleshooting activities including electrical, communication issues, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance, HVAC, lighting and repair of MHE and conveyors. Participate in and mentor others in analyzing defects and failures in the above-referenced areas and ensure resolution with minimal disruption to daily operation of material handling systems and facility needs. Independently and as part of a team, work closely with operations staff on problems associated with material handling equipment and building facility needs. Assess downtime requirements as necessary and establish acceptable resolutions to problems by working with the operations group to reduce impact of downtime. Assess preventative maintenance needs, schedule, and participate in preventative maintenance on material handling and facilities equipment per provided schedule. Evaluate and mentor others in assessing equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions and suggest improvement. Lead in team building at all levels within the distribution environment. Practice and teach safe work practices to prevent accidents. Serve as a leader in establishing additional duties and responsibilities as required to meet the established goals of the facility.
