About The Position

As a DC Maintenance Coach (Area Manager) at Nike, you will lead and influence the production output of employees within the distribution center. Your role involves actively listening to employee concerns, guiding teams, and ensuring operational targets are met in a safe and efficient environment. You will work closely with the Flow Support Center to make informed business decisions and maintain a high level of floor presence to direct workflow effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, or 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Working knowledge of automated distribution systems and departmental budgets.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• PC skills required, with experience in Excel, Word, SAP, DCMS, and Kronos preferred.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team member and handle confidential matters professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others to accomplish operational objectives.

Nice To Haves

• Project management skills preferred.
• Experience with automated distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and influence the input/output of employees' production.
• Address employees' concerns and provide support.
• Guide a team day-to-day and educate them about Nike's business goals.
• Motivate and encourage the team to achieve operational targets such as productivity, safety, quality, teamwork, and culture.
• Oversee all Help Chain activity and ensure proper documentation of instances.
• Conduct follow-up meetings and assess the quality of maintenance work performed by employees.
• Provide proper procedures and resources to the team to attain results.
• Maintain a high level of floor presence to direct the flow of work.
• Counsel employees on conflicting issues and interact with HR for solutions.
• Attend workflow meetings to plan strategy and share best practices.
