Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of trade school preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance and supervision.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures.
  • Experience with maintenance and repairs of conveyors, motor controls, and MHE.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent management, leadership, communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related programs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of mechanics, guiding them through the day's tasks.
  • Oversee equipment repair and maintenance, assigning work orders and prioritizing safety and production-related tasks.
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Create efficient methods and procedures for departmental activities, troubleshooting operational problems.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Supervise the facility's waste disposal program, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with DC leaders to meet maintenance needs and tour facilities regularly.
