Support vendors, contractors, and other teams involved in the construction and commissioning of various systems. Review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing. During commissioning, audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. Perform comprehensive weekly reporting of status of all ongoing projects and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of program. Assist in boarding new team members through coaching and/or other orientation practices and career development of team. Understand the current capabilities of automation tools and confirm they are being utilized to the full benefit of the department and project. Develop, provide input and implement a detailed and integrated Commissioning process and execution plan. Coordinate system walk-downs, punch-list closure, and turnover acceptance. Review and Maintain testing documentation. Monitor engineering, construction, and sub-contractor performance in turning over the systems and sub-systems. Enhance skills, performance and development of all employees by sponsoring and promoting completion training programs so that adherence to operations guidelines and specifications is ensured and work of the highest quality prevails. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing established project procedures relating to safety, work permitting and work order systems; and adhere to legal requirements. Report discipline progress against scheduled activities. Coordinate vendor and equipment support for commissioning activities. Ability to build effective relationships with customers, engineering, construction, and vendor personnel. Domestic and international travel for approximately 25% of time.

  • A master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline and 3 years of experience in critical infrastructure. In the alternative, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience in critical infrastructure.
  • 1 year of experience in NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning.
  • 1 year of experience in reading and providing input to construction documents including design drawings, testing documentation, or specifications.
  • 1 year of experience in developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals
