About The Position

The position involves performing housekeeping and janitorial duties in all areas of the distribution center. Responsibilities include emptying trash containers, sweeping floors, operating floor scrubbing equipment, and maintaining janitorial supplies. The role also requires assisting the maintenance team with general maintenance duties and maintaining safety standards while operating equipment.

Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience in custodial duties in a building, hotel, or distribution center.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Basic knowledge of grounds keeping and facility maintenance.
• Basic experience in operating lawn mowers and weed trimmers.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties in all areas of the distribution center.
• Communicate custodial or housekeeping issues to maintenance supervisor or management team.
• Empty trash containers and cardboard containers.
• Sweep all floor areas of the distribution center.
• Operate floor scrubbing equipment and cardboard baler.
• Maintain janitorial equipment stations.
• Assist maintenance team in maintaining and organizing the tote repair area.
• Maintain supplies of paper products and hand cleaner in restrooms and break rooms.
• Assist with building grounds maintenance such as snow removal and lawn mowing.
• Maintain safety standards while operating equipment.
