THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: As a DC Clerk at Ulta Beauty, you will help ensure our facility runs like a well-oiled machine, by organizing the work area, prioritizing and assigning tasks, coordinating and motivates associates and interacting with a variety of audiences (managers, associates and vendors) in an effective, professional and results-driven manner. You will serve as the “go-to” for day-to-day operational issues and act an invaluable resource for the department supervisor, as needed. You will accomplish all of these goals by: Coordinating workflow and ensuring work availability for employees through the use of computer systems Balancing headcount with volume, requesting people to move when necessary Reporting issues to the supervisor as necessary Applying solid problem-solving and sound judgment to ensure steady workflow is maintained Backing-up clerk within department or outside, as needed Maintaining confidentiality Checking accuracy and output of associates on a routine basis Reporting safety concerns as necessary Working overtime as determined by business needs during the week and/or weekends Performing all material handler essential functions, including but not limited to: Operating material handling equipment, including fork trucks, order selectors and powered pallet jacks (will certify on equipment) Safely lifting and/or moving boxes, product or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly Consistently lifting, bending, standing, walking, stooping and kneeling; occasionally crouching, crawling and climbing stairs during an 8-hour, 10-hour or 12-hour shift and during extended overtime shifts, as needed Working effectively in a team environment Effectively communicating, understanding oral instructions, reading/interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English Demonstrating flexibility in daily task assignments and performing related general warehouse tasks

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will be self-motivated and dependable individuals who are 18+ years of age with strong interpersonal and critical-reasoning skills
  • Solid math skills, including the ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • The ability to effectively multi-task
  • The ability to work flexible schedule, as needed
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and/or move boxes, product or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience are preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) scanners and basic computer skills (including Excel) are also preferred
