Job Description: What You'll Be Doing: Maintain working knowledge of various types of pipe systems, including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, and fused joints. Reading isometric drawings, taking measurements, fabricating, and installing pipe efficiently. Align, bolt and clamp together components of fabricated metal products to secure in position for welding. Assemble an secure pipe, tubes, fitting, and related equipment according to specifications by welded and threaded joints. Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation and install all other items in accordance with applicable plans and specifications. Distinguish varying thickness and types of metal materials. Operate tools and equipment including beveling machines, cut-off grinders, pipe threaders, hammers, torches, magnetic drills, etc. Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, costs, resources, or material needs to perform work activities. What Required Skills You'll Bring: 5-10 years of experience as a Pipefitter. Ability to constantly move about a construction site, being able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, etc. Ability to constantly work in a construction environment and be willing to be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions. Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed. Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places and on uneven surfaces. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision/management. Observe and comply with all safety and site rules. Must have the ability to work with others and be a team player.
