About The Position

The Reference Data management team is looking to hire an experienced application DBA. The candidate should possess excellent leadership, project ownership, accountability, communication skills, a positive attitude, and strong technical skill sets, along with financial industry experience and a minimum of 12 years of industry experience. The role involves handling high-priority projects and providing application database support to the entire reference data team for its enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience with Oracle RDBMS on RHEL 7/8.
• Oracle database optimization for hybrid data processing.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL is a plus.
• Experience with CyberArk, Redhat OpenShift, Autosys, ServiceNow is a plus.
• Experience with NOSQL DB is a plus.
• 12+ years of industry experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Application Database support to the entire reference data team for its enhancements.
• Ensure availability and performance tuning of the databases that support the system.
• Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases ensure high availability and optimum performance.
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
• Provide trend analysis to the service management team to enable informed decisions regarding resource management.
• Escalate problems to the Oracle Development team and third parties as appropriate.
• Improve and maintain the databases, including rollout and upgrades.
• Implement and release database changes as submitted by the development team.
