About The Position

We are currently seeking a DB2 z/OS Database Administrator for our client in the Financial Services domain. Duration: 6+ Months Contract Location: Dallas, TX and Merrimack, NH (Hybrid) Salary: $60.00-$67.00/Annually Role: DB2 z/OS Database Administrator Primary Skills: DB2 Role Description: The DB2 z/OS Database Administrator must have 8+ years of experience.

Requirements

DB2 z/OS Database Administration in a large complex Database Environment
Knowledge of IBM replication products -IIDR products=QRep and/or CDC
Extensive Experience in SQL, REXX, JCL, COBOL.
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years relevant experience.
Extensive experience in DB2 z/OS Database Administration in a large complex Database Environment
Experience supporting IBM IIDR data replication tools: Q Replication and/or CDC Replication
Extensive Experience in SQL, REXX, JCL, COBOL
Working knowledge of CA Database Tools
Working Knowledge of Performance tuning, Database Security and Access management

Exposure to distributed database technologies and cloud
Brokerage Back-office knowledge

Responsibilities

Providing Application Database and Replication support for a large DB2 z/OS sysplex environment.
Maintenance of Databases - Utilities management.
Providing 24x7 on-call support.
Review of SQL/Programs against standards and Performance tuning.
