About The Position

Pursuing a database migration and queries Subject Matter Expert for contract work in Peapack, NJ. Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, migration of databases from AS400 DB2 to MS SQL. Altering DB2 queries to run under MS SQL. Developing associated documentation and test protocols.

Requirements

• Experience migrating from AS400 DB2 databases to MS SQL
• Experience converting AS400 DB2 databases queries to MS SQL
• Experience migrating files from AS400 to MS Windows
• Strong organization skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of staff and management
• Detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience with GMP systems
• Understanding DB2 database design and MS SQL functions
• Proficient in migrating DB2 databases to MS SQL
• Proficient in adapting DB2 queries to either MS SQL systems
• Pharma experience is required
• Some travel required

Responsibilities

• Understanding DB2 database design and MS SQL functions
• Proficient in migrating DB2 databases to MS SQL
• Proficient in adapting DB2 queries to either MS SQL systems
• Verification of migration of data over LAN/WAN
• Supporting data request from the archival environment
• Developing queries from data dictionary
• Working with remote SMEs located in International (DB2 SME’s)
• Early morning meeting will be required as needed
• Develop, write and execute procedural protocols and test scripts
• Recommend and implement improvements to the existing Database procedures
• Communicate to various levels of technical skill sets in an effective manner
• Communicate across all levels of staff and management
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Accurately track and report project hours
• Work with GMP and validated systems
• Follow Standard Operation Procedures
• Comply with corporate processes
