About The Position

Now hiring for full-time Mechanic to serve our Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit. Our Mechanic will primarily support Peoria, IL and may support additional outer markets in .
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience.
- Formal Automotive Education
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work independent
- Ability to effectively communicate
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on AMT fleet ambulances and service vehicles
- Responsible for medium to heavy repairs
- Troubleshoot, repair, and routine electrical work 12V electronics and automotive equipment
- General overhaul and repair of engines and transmissions on gas and diesel automobiles and heavy equipment
